EDWARD JAMES OLMOS
Sexto Sol

Dear fans of EJO, I am writing from the Escuela de Agroecológica y Permacultura Tierra Linda in the Sierra Madre of Chiapas, Mexico. We are the Sexto Sol Center, a non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty and environmental challenges by encouraging people to work together for the benefit of all. To learn about our work, please see the EMBED VIDEO. I am writing to offer thanks, to tell you about an exciting new initiative and to invite you to see how fans of Mr. Olmos can help us raise funds to make the work possible.

Years ago I turned on the television and serendipitously found Mr. Olmos being interviewed about the riots going on in Los Angeles in the aftermath of the acquittal of the police who assaulted Rodney King. The people had turned on each other. His message was that people should pull together in that crisis since divisions based on race are artificial. I knew in that moment that he was a community leader who really was working from a higher place. Mis respetos.

As you probably know, Mr. Olmos has a campaign to spread the message that that humanity is one race, the Human Race. Now you join him in raising awareness by wearing his impactful One Race tee shirts, available at olmosperfect.com/sexto-sol.html. Our thanks to Mr. Olmos for offering the proceeds from the sale of his tee shirts to support Sexto Sol projects in Mexico, Guatemala and beyond… Beyond? Yes! We are pleased to announce that we are expanding the work we did in response to Hurricane Stan. Mr. Olmos and his fans were important supporters of our effort to bring emergency training to medical people and traditional healers in how to alleviate Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We were successful in giving 50 health care professionals a significant way to treat the large population suffering from trauma. Thousands of people were helped.

The Sexto Sol Center’s new program aims to bring this strategic training when disaster strikes elsewhere in the world. We will send the team of trainers from the Acupuncture International Relief Workers and EFT practitioners quickly to where they are needed. The team will teach Energy Medicine and Energy Psychology techniques to local health care providers to prepare them to assist large populations affected by traumatic events. We believe that by helping reduce the suffering caused by disaster, war, and other catastrophes, all of humanity will be helped. Donate your frequent flyer miles to help us get to where we need to go!
